2040 y el sol brillando: ¿alguien se acuerda de Europa? La película viaja a través de continente preguntando a la gente por sus experiencias y memorias de Europa y la UE en cuanto territorio vivido y en cuanto constructor social y (geo)político. La crisis de 2008-18 sigue pesando en la memoria colectiva, y las historias permanecen fragmentado. Como narrar una crisis de imaginación y de la historia con H-mayúscula? Mateando y redituando conjeturas y territorios, Recordando Europa cuenta una historia de Europa por medio de fragmentos y contradicciones, sentimientos y recuerdos. Un ensayo de docu-ficción, basado en el método del archivo futuro, que entreteje entrevistas performativas con intuiciones poéticas. Más que una meditación sobre el futuro, la película es una meditación sobre las posibilidades y límites de la imaginación. Pues ¿qué es la memoriasino imaginación vivida?

2040 and the sun is shining: does anybody remember Europe? This film travels across the continent asking people about their experiences and memories of Europe and the EU, as lived territory, social and (geo)political construct. The crisis of 2008-2018 weights heavy in collective memory, yet stories remain fragmented. How to narrate a crisis of the imagination and of capital-H history? Mapping and re-tracing conjectures and territories, Remembering Europe tells a story of Europe through fragments and contradictions, feelings and flashbacks. A docu-fiction-essay, it is based on the method of the future archive, weaving together performative interviews with poetic intuitions. More than a meditation on the future, this film is a meditation on the possibilities and limits of the imagination. For what is memory, but lived imagination?
